Kiril Nektariev Street is lined with a fine group of houses in the National Revival style. Back then, a flurry of shop assistants, delivery men, buyers and sellers would have crowded the narrow streets, but they are now silent and all that remains from that era are the fine houses. N°17 is a mid-19C house, boasting a pretty alafranga decoration which explains the name of the Alafrangite restaurant. Also look out for Veren Stamboljan's large house (circa 1850), at number 15.
