Leaving Piana, take the road to Arone (D 824). After 6km, you will see a sign on your right for Capu Rossu. The unmarked road winds its way through scrubland, then, after a sheepfold, a road lined with cairns climbs to a tower. The Tour de Turghiu stands on a pink porphyritic projection that overlooks the sea from a height of over 300m; the magnificent view extends over the coastline as far as Cargèse to the left and, to the right, over the Girolata Gulf. There is no shade along the path, so it is best avoided in the height of summer.
