Located in the defunct Zsolnay Manufactory, this huge industrial wasteland was rehabilitated to coincide with Pécs's time as European Capital of Culture (2010). It is a sort of mini-city within the city, with the old workshops, but also the villas of the different generations of the Zsolnay family. The buildings now house museums, galleries, a cultural centre, a planetarium, a puppet theatre, a university campus, designer shops and restaurants.
