The road rises steeply from Pavolce to Celopek. Along the way, you will see carts drawn by donkeys, as well as reapers and herds in the fields. The village has retained a tiny house in the National Awakening style, which once belonged to Grand-ma Ilijca. From there, the road climbs in hairpin bends up to the rocky ridge, revealing the plain. After reaching the top of the Okolcica plateau, you will see a 35m high cross and a stela erected as a tribute to national hero Hristo Botev, and you will get a fine view of the Vola peak (alt: 1 058m) and of Vraca.
