Agios Antonios Gorge, in a setting imbued with calm and shaded by majestic trees, has always been a source of fascination. There, a path with a handrail leads to a cave that has served as a place of worship since the Minoan period. Today, it is set up as a votive chapel, dedicated to St Anthony, and decorated with ex-votos, crutches and artificial limbs. A pilgrimage every 17 January attracts many believers. Picnic areas below, near the river.
