In the left wing of the Palais de Chaillot, this centre for architecture and heritage contains three departments: the Institut Français d'Architecture, founded in 1981, the Centre des Hautes Études de Chaillot and the Museum of French Monuments, founded in 1879, which displays life-size replicas of the main French monuments from the Middle Ages to the 18C. The second-floor rooms house murals. Finally, the gallery of modern and contemporary architecture presents an in-depth vision of architecture and urbanism.
