An avenue lined by trees leads to this charming house where Ary Scheffer (1795-1858), a painter of romantic inspiration, lived for almost thirty years and entertained friends from the worlds of art and literature such as Delacroix Liszt and Renan. In addition to works of art and personal possessions of the artist, the museum displays mementoes of George Sand. A delightful garden adds to the charm of the property.
