The gorge lies between Ota and Évisa, overlooking the Porto Gulf. Spelunca means "cave" and refers to the great depth of the gorge. It took no fewer than three rivers, the Aïtone, the Tavulella and the Onca, to carve and sculpt this superb gorge. The rich colours, predominantly pinks, and the vertiginous views make the gorge a must-see. The Genoese bridges which stretch across the gorge have allowed people to get closer to this natural phenomenon.
