Walt Disney imagined this property as an "experimental prototype community of tomorrow" and a showcase of American creativity. Unveiled in 1982, the 260-acre park is divided into two areas: Future World, devoted to technology and ingenuity, with rides, hands-on displays and films; and World Showcase, celebrating the culture and architecture of 11 nations. Each of the national pavilions showcases the food, arts, costumes and traditions of its country of origin.
