Acting as a gateway to Orange, this magnificent triumphal arch built around 20 BC and restored in 2018 stands to the north of Orange on the Via Agrippa which once ran from Lyon to Arles. Striking for its size, this is one of the best-preserved Roman arches in existence, especially its north façade which has retained a good deal of its original decoration and which commemorates the achievements of the veterans of the second legion in Gaul.
