This 122m by 31m structure comprises 37 steel prism-like frames in which the interior layout has been designed to create an atmosphere quite unlike a museum, enabling works of art to be viewed from a sensual perspective and not just an intellectual one. The works by 19C-20C European artists such as Degas, Seurat, Picasso, Epstein, Bacon, Modigliani, Moore and Giacometti stand easily alongside the collection of African, Amerindian, Oriental and Indian art.
