The museum is located at Sainte Neige, the "hillside mine", whose galleries opened out onto the hillside. Back on ground level, there is an enormous building offering visitors information on where iron comes from and how it comes to form deposits, as well as what a miner's job entails. Take an exciting journey back in time during the 1.5km visit showcasing mining works from different ages, which will also give you a comprehensive idea of mining techniques: hand-brace drilling, the introduction of carts, the advent of compressors and jackhammers.
