Brookgreen Gardens is a magnificent sculpture garden and wildlife reserve where art and nature go hand in hand. The United States' first sculpture garden (over 800 pieces!) was created in 1932 by artist Anna Hyatt Huntington and her husband, Archer, on a former rice plantation. Other attractions that will appeal to a younger audience include the zoo, the Enchanted Storybook Forest (with little huts and cottages depicting fairytale and nursery rhyme classics) and the Butterfly House.
