The Palazzo dell'Arengario houses the Museo del Novecento (20C museum), the most famous exhibit of which is Il Quarto Stato by Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo (1901). The museum is arranged chronologically, following the main artistic trends of the 20C up to the Arte Povera movement, and displays works by major artists such as De Chirico, Sironi, Morandi, Fontana, Manzoni and Kounellis. One room features an extensive collection of Futurist works, while the room dedicated to Lucio Fontana boasts a superb view of the cathedral.
