This château of Menug-sur-Loire has two distinct characters: on the one hand, an austere 12C and 13C fortress that has hosted many an illustrious guest (Joan of Arc, François I), and on the other, a more light-hearted and opulent 18C château. The medieval touch can be seen in the guardroom and the 13C underground section. The opulence of the 18C is visible above all in the bishop's bathroom, a rare example of luxurious bathrooms inspired by Classical Antiquity.
