This museum occupies the 16C Hôtel de la Vicomté which belonged to Nicolas Fouquet, the then Viscount of Melun. Exhibits of note on the ground floor include Gallo-Roman lapidary remains discovered during excavations in the region, and attractive pictures of old Melun. Admire also a bronze sculpture by Barthélemy Prieur, pieces of earthenware by Rubelles, and 17C Dutch still lifes.
