To the southwest of Marmaris, the Bozburun and Datça peninsulas form two long, almost perpendicular fingers of land enclosing the vast Hisaronu Bay. The jagged coastline of Bozburun conceals a more authentic aspect of Mediterranean Turkey which seems blessed with eternal serenity. Boats travel from village to village, mooring here and there in creeks strewn with ancient ruins. Heading out to discover these small coves is a highly pleasurable, both in terms of their historical interest, as well as for their tranquil and unspoiled setting, perfect for a stroll or refreshing swim.
