This majestic cathedral, surprisingly embellished with varnished tiles, boasts a light and elegant nave which is almost as high (33m) as that of Notre-Dame in Paris (35m). The Navarre chapel, added to the right-hand side of the choir, forms a separate section, a sort of shrine illuminated by radiating windows. At the entrance stand four delicate statuettes from the 14C representing the founders of the collegiate church which inspired Corot in one of his finest paintings (Reims Fine Arts Museum).
