This nature reserve, which covers almost 5 000ha of mid-range mountains, is dissected by streams forming small valleys. The area can be explored by bike or on foot. Typical Mediterranean vegetation occupies great swathes of land replanted with Aleppo pines. Extensive reforestation was carried out to put an end to the flooding that Málaga endured. The road is dotted with viewpoints, as well as inns where you can savour the delicious local cuisine.
