Neumünster cultural centre puts on a series of concerts, meetings and exhibitions. These events offer an opportunity to enter a 17C abbey steeped in history, having served as a prison, a military barracks, an orphanage and a military hospital. Nowadays, the former prison workshop is the Robert Krieps Auditorium (a 300-seat theatre). Permanent exhibition of the work of Luxemburger artist Lucien Wercollier (1908-2002), who created the sculpture The Political Prisoner.
