In the 14C, this Romanesque building was transformed and extended in the Gothic style. Inside, admire the gigantic crucifix sculpted by Bernt Notke between 1470 and 1477 in the Late-Gothic style. A stone rood screen marks the separation with the choir. At the transept crossing, note the different retables on the pillars: the altarpiece donated by the merchants of Stecknitz in 1422, the Canonical Hours altarpiece, the Millers altarpiece (c 1460) and the Madonna and Unicorn altarpiece (1506).
