Situated between Grandas de Salime to the east, the province of Lugo to the south and the village of Taramundi to the north, the Los Oscos mountains offer magnificent views. This part of the Asturias region is home to three mountain villages which make a perfect base from which to explore the area and follow its many footpaths: San Martín de Oscos (with its pretty church), Villanueva de Oscos and Santa Eulalia de Oscos. This secluded region is also renowned for its cheeses, which have been made here since the Middle Ages.
