Chelsea's neighbour South Kensington is primarily a residential area of tree-lined streets with fine Victorian houses. It is also (on its Hyde Park side) a cultural hub, boasting three of London's greatest museums: the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. All owe their existence to Prince Albert (the husband of Queen Victoria) from whom the district derives its nickname "Albertopolis"; it is also known for its restaurants and bars.
