Situated in Kensington Gardens, this memorial in the form of a neo-Gothic spire enriched with mosaics and 32 m high was designed by the architect Gilbert Scott (1872). A gilded bronze statue of the Prince Consort Albert is enthroned in the centre, framed by allegorical figures from abroad and a freeze decorated with 169 artistic figures. It's a symbol of the taste and the spirit of the Victorians.
