This former cathedral, Linz's largest Baroque church, was designed by Pietro Francesco Carlone and built for the Jesuits in the 17C. The simple façade is in contrast to the interior where stuccowork, pink-marble columns, the finely-worked pulpit and choir stalls, the high altar adorned with marble statues make up a most elaborate decor. A medallion recalls that Anton Bruckner was organist here for twelve years.
