Lessay's Sainte Trinité abbey church, built from 1098, is one of the most perfect expressions of Romanesque art in Normandy. Note the pure lines of the apse, the fine square bell tower and the schist roofs. Inside, the simplicity of the nave and the chancel is striking. Interesting features include the monolithic altar, 15C chapel, a wooden Christ by Lambert-Rucki (1888-1967) and the stained-glass windows inspired by Irish manuscripts.
