Take the marked trails created by the National Forest Office through Bébour-Bélouve Forest, and explore the vegetation of Les Hauts. The Petite-Plaine botanical trail leads through Japanese cedars; then the primary forest, which is great for picnics, is criss-crossed with paths, one of which leads around the Piton Bébour. The itinerary then crosses a tangle of vegetation exuding subtle fragrances. From the Gîte de Bélouve mountain refuge, there is a magnificent view of the Cirque de Salazie, and access to the breathtaking waterfall, Cascade du Trou de Fer.
