Despite its popularity with pleasure boaters, Grande-Anse Bay has remained relaxed, which is probably down to the many Martinique families who come here to picnic and swim in the sea. Little huts with corrugated iron roofs house snack bars and stalls. The pleasant seafront promenade is ideal to sit and enjoy a drink on the beach. A path 200m underwater has been built by the Conservatoire du Littoral near Cape Solomon (north of the bay).
