The 11 volcanic Robert Isles occupy a superb 8km-long bay sheltered by the Pointe Rouge to the north and the Pointe La Rose to the south. They are reached in the company of fishermen, a guided tour or by sea canoe. The pristine beaches and underwater treasures attract large numbers of visitors to the îlets Petite-Martinique, Chancel and Madame. If you're looking for something quieter, head for îlet à Eau or îlet du Loup-Garou, a sandbank whose paradisiacal creek can only be reached when the sea is calm.
