Cap'Découverte is a huge leisure park dedicated to sport, shows and culture. It occupies a 650ha site surrounding St Marie's mine, an open-cast mine that was closed in 1997. It offers sports such as dry-slope skiing, water-skiing, cycling and rollerskating. The show amenities include concert halls and an area for festivals. For cultural activities, the park has three sites: the Carbonifère Gardens, Park of the Titans and the Mining Museum in Cagnac.
