The castle is referred to as the "Périgord's unfinished Louvre" because the same architect, Pierre Lescot, designed the façade of the Louvre's Cour Carré. The main section (14C-15C) retains the defensive features of a castle, to which a Renaissance building (on the left) was added during the Wars of Religion. Inside, the bed chambers, games and music room and kitchen are furnished. Spend the night to make the most of this exceptional place!
