Nestled just south of Granada, this beautiful valley is little visited by tourists. Dotted among the orange groves are villages like Dúrcal, with its small Plaza de España. Nigüelas, further on, is well-known for its oil mill. Mondújar has a Mudéjar church with an attractive tower. The Río Torrente valley will lead you to Melegís and Saleres, whose bell towers bear the remains of Mudéjar azulejos - ceramic tiles.
