The main terrace of the Pic Blanc, the third highest summit of the Grandes Rousses range at 3,327m, commands a jaw-dropping view: Pic Bayle, Grande Casse of Pralognan, Grande Motte of Tignes, Gran Paradiso in Italy, the glaciers of La Vanoise, Dent Parrachée, the Maurienne summits as well as the Meije, Barre des Écrins and Mont de Lans glacier.
