The old shipping centre of Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Iceland was built in 1767 and superbly restored in 2003. Diplomatic missions from Greenland and the Faroe Islands, as well as the Icelandic Embassy, are based here, as are several organisations related to the people of these islands and their tourist offices. Exhibitions by artists from the North Atlantic region are also held here. Now linked to Nyhavn by Inderhavnsbroen pedestrian and cyclist bridge, the North Atlantic Wharf is a busy point of transit and popular place to go out.
