This beautiful park laid out on the site of the old capital of the Rathor kings was the site of royal cremations right up until the late 19C. It's a pity that the lawns are littered with plastic, as the pink sandstone buildings are really worth a visit. The cenotaphs have two distinct architectural styles - the traditional chhatri (domed pavilion) and the deval, in the form of a temple. The deval of Ajit Singh (1724-50) is the most spectacular of the monuments.
