Rusenski Lom National Park can be explored in several places along the course of the Lom, to the south of Ruse. The park follows the valleys of the three rivers which join to form the Rusenski Lom (the Lom of Ruse), a tributary of the Danube. Digging deep through the plateau, the rivers have formed narrow canyons, home to many species of birds, including black storks. Several signposted paths help visitors find their way around.
