The WestFries Museum occupies the elegant Staten (1632), the impressive tall façade of which is adorned with colourful coats of arms and cornices crowned with lions. In addition to its remarkable rooms, such as the impressive Counts' Room with its beams adorned with seven coats of arms, you can also admire extensive collections from the 16C and 17C. The 17C cut-out paintings and the four portraits of civic guards by Jan Albertz Rotius (1650) are particularly worthy of note.
