The geysers of the Thousand Springs seep or gush from the northern wall of the Snake canyon. These springs are the re-emergence of the "lost rivers" that disappear in the porous Snake plain before rising again through fractures in the rock. In the valley, numerous fish farms, particularly trout, benefit from the purity of the water. To enjoy the spectacle at its best, follow the Thousand Springs Scenic Route (US-30) between Buhl and Bliss.
