The house allows visitors to soak up the atmosphere of the bourgeois apartment where Henri Beyle spent part of his childhood and get a feel for the work of the future writer. A number of paintings depict Stendhal's family and teachers in the Italian salon. In the study, you can take a look at the works exhibited in Dr Gagnon's library, Stendhal's grandfather, while the natural history room is full of minerals and stuffed animals.
