It was here that the massacre of Clan MacDonald, supporters of the Stuarts, was carried out by the Campbells in 1692, even though the former had sworn allegiance to the British Crown in exchange for a pardon. This splendid valley is a patchwork of grassy or rocky peaks and gently curved slopes and lies on the main tourist route that starts at Glasgow and heads north. The landscapes are unforgettable when the weather is stormy. Lovely view over the Three Sisters.
