The palace was built in the 16C by the Grimaldi family. Its interior decoration is original, the artworks displayed there and the period furnishings creating a fine overall effect. Note in particular the splendid Baroque ceilings, as well as the elegant and refined Galleria degli Specchi (Gallery of Mirrors), and the Italian and Flemish Renaissance works (Rubens, Gentileschi, Tintoretto) and the searing Ecce Homo by Antonello da Messina, the most famous painting in the collection.
