Reopened in 2016 after two years of renovation, Verdun Memorial offers a new exhibition layout on three floors. At the entrance, visitors are placed in the shoes of a soldier, both French and German, by way of innovative audiovisual devices (immersion in a battlefield). Lastly, the top floor, bathed in light, commands views over the surrounding landscape. Over 2,000 exhibits, never-before-seen photos and first-hand accounts evoke the experience of men from all over the world.
