Among the treasures in this park is the S.S. Nenana, a restored sternwheeler that plied the Yukon River from 1933 to 1952 and is now a national historic landmark. You can also admire the luxurious railcar that carried President Warren Harding to the interior in the 1920s, and a street of turn-of-the-20C wooden buildings moved from downtown Fairbanks. It is also worth taking a tour of the Pioneer Air Museum, which is dedicated to aviation in Alaska, as well as attending the Big Stampede, which focuses on the life of early pioneers.
