Two sturdy corner towers flank the elegant 18C Palacio de Benamejí. The arrangement of the marble portal accentuates its delicate curves. The arcaded patio and its staircase are stunning. Visitors can go up one of the towers and also explore the former stables. This Baroque palace is also home to the municipal history museum, which presents the excavations carried out from 2001 to 2007 on the Plaza de España. Not to be missed: the impressive Amazon of Astigi, a very well preserved Roman statue.
