A striking post-modern building (1995, Michael Graves & Brian Klipp), the Denver Public Library is, with its six floors open to the public and 75km/47mi miles of shelves, the largest library in the western half of the US. Seventy panels by artist Edward Ruscha adorn its main hall. The acclaimed Western History Collection includes precious early documents, maps and photographs. The art collection features works by Remington, Bierstadt and Moran.
