The Lions District, an urban centre laid out during the Hellenistic Period, stretches out to the north of the sanctuary. It is reached via the Agora of the Italians (to the west), the largest square in Delos, the size of which reflects the place of the city's Roman traders in the 2C BC. While the Terrace of the Lions is the most impressive work, you will also see the Institution of the Poseidoniasts, Lake House and House of Tritons.
