This austere château sports façades characteristic of the "French Rustic" style. The lavish Louis XIII decoration of the north wing is the work of Marquess Jacques du Blé and his wife. Close to Marie of Medici, the couple sought to endow this summer residence with the Parisian sophistication typified by the Luxembourg Palace. Inside, note the colourful decoration of the Cabinet d'Harmonie and the Chambre de la Marquise, the ceiling of the Cabinet des Curiosités and the monumental staircase.
