As soon as one crosses the water-filled moat between two square towers, one catches sight of the cour d'honneur, where the corps de logis (1702) stands. The left wing was rebuilt under Louis XIII above a pretty, well-preserved Gothic chapel (restored frescoes) housing a 15C Burgundian Virgin Mary and a 16C Entombment. Inside, the colours of the fine 16C tapestries have been miraculously preserved. In the great drawing room a large portrait of Charles X enthroned is the focal point.
