Unterlinden museum, already famous for its pride and joy, the huge 16C Issenheim altarpiece, a monumental polyptych, is all the more worthy of a visit since 2016. The surface area of the museum, which was housed in a former 13C Dominican convent, has been doubled thanks to the addition of the Art nouveau former municipal baths (1906) and a new nave extension which showcases rich modern art collections. All in all, you will see no less than 7,000 years of history from Prehistory to the 20C! Not to be missed!
