More than 100 wagons and 25 buildings dating back to the period 1879-1901 which were originally located within a 240km/150mi radius have been moved to the original site of Cody City, founded by Buffalo Bill. The houses here are furnished as they would have been in bygone days and display numerous old objects and photos; you can also visit a saloon whose walls are pitted with gunshots, a blacksmith's workshop, a trapper's cabin etc. This outdoor museum re-creates superbly the atmosphere of the old pioneering towns of the Wild West.
